Do you or someone you know love to hunt, but doesn’t have room in the freezer for all of that venison?  Consider donating all or a portion of your kill to the Hunters Against Hunger program!  Here, donated venison will be used to support food pantries throughout Manistee County.

With winter fast approaching, and fuel oil prices on the rise, need at local food pantries is growing exponentially.  Vension donated by regional hunters will help offset the high cost of providing healthy, lean protein for families in need.

The Kitchen will cover all processing fees for hunters who donate their entire kill.  Call Brandon at 231-357-4334 to arrange for pick up, or drop your deer at Kaleva Meats, and let them know it is to be donated to the program.    This Hunters Against Hunger initiative is part of the Manistee Community Kitchen’s Food Rescue Program, providing local food for hungry local families.
